What a difference a few hours can make! When my husband left at 6 this morning it was 58° and by 7:15 when I fed the chickens and calves it was 38°. So, today I want the house to be cozy and warm and smelling delicious when my husband makes it home.
This is what my menu looks like …
BBQ Roast
Baked Potato Casserole
Okra Gumbo
Bar-B-Que Roast

4-6 lb chuck roast

½ c soy sauce
-
2 Tbsp. liquid smoke
-
2 Tbsp. worchershire sauce
-
2 Tbsp. A.1. Steak Sauce

1 Tbsp. garlic powder
-
2 Tbsp. powdered mustard
-
18 oz barbeque sauce
-
Place first 7 ingredients in crockpot on medium for 5 hours or until roast is tender.

Remove roast from crockpot and drain liquid; reserving ½ cup.

Place ½ cup reserved liquid and (1) 18 oz bottle BBQ sauce in crockpot, mix together, add roast, and cook for 1 hour.
