Items to Stockpile During November Sales

November 3, 2011

We are coming up on the time of the year when you can get some fantastic deals on baking supplies.  Now is the time to stockpile those items so you don’t have to pay full price later in the year.

Here are some items that you will see on sale this month that are great to stockpile:

  • Flour, sugar, chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, cake and brownie mixes, cookie mixes, and spices
  • Canned soup, broth, canned vegetables and fruits
  • Thanksgiving type foods: turkey, canned pumpkin, stuffing, boxed potatoes, gravy mixes, canned yams, frozen rolls, frozen pie crusts, and cranberry sauce
  • Pastas and sauces
  • Fresh vegetables & fruits: sweet potatoes, onions, apples
  • Kleenex and medicines

It’s also a great time to go through your pantry and organize to see what you already have on hand.  If you have things you don’t need, think about donating to a family you know is in need or to your local food bank.

This is a great list but since this is my first full of couponing I am unsure of how much I should ideally be paying for these stock up items. What is the price point that I should look for?

Hi, Sally!

That’s a great question. I am working on a price point sheet, hopefully I can have it done sometime this week.

Happy Couponing!
